Welcome to St. Patrick’s Senior School
Céad Míle Fáilte. It is my great pleasure to welcome you to St. Patrick’s Senior School and our school website.
We are currently celebrating a landmark chapter in our school’s history. With our major extension now complete, our students are benefiting from four bright, modern classrooms and three dedicated learning support rooms. These new facilities provide a state-of-the-art environment that complements the high standard of teaching and care we have provided since our current building opened in 1973.
Our Place in the Heart of Skerries
Situated in the center of Skerries, we are uniquely positioned to take advantage of our town's wonderful amenities. We share a vibrant campus with St. Patrick’s Junior National School and enjoy a close relationship with the Skerries Community Centre and Skerries Harps GAA club.
With the opening of the new Skerries Library in 2026, we are thrilled to have this world-class facility on our doorstep. Our students now enjoy bi-weekly visits to the library, further fostering a lifelong love of reading and research within our local community.
A Legacy of Learning
While our facilities are expanding, our roots remain deep. Our school’s educational heritage in Skerries dates back to 1835. Named after St. Patrick—who has such significant historical links to our coastline—we remain a proud Catholic school community of approximately 340 students, supported by a dedicated team of 20 teachers, 6 SNAs, and 2 ancillary staff.

At St. Patrick’s, we believe in nurturing the "whole child." Through the incredible volunteerism of our staff and parents, we offer a diverse range of extracurricular and leadership opportunities:

A school is only as strong as its community. We are fortunate to have an active Board of Management and a dedicated Parents’ Association who work in partnership with us to ensure every child thrives.
